Greetings!
Welcome to a brand new year of possibility, discovery and change! It is so life offering to look out at the blank slate of 2008 and imagine our forthcoming creations unfolding there. Anything and everything is possible! We have to tell you, when 2007 began, we never would have guessed that we would have visited the Pacific Ocean three times in three different countries. Makes it rather tantalizing to consider the full spectrum of opportunities that lie ahead.
The New Year certainly brings some grand changes for us here at The Inner Vortex. Jeanette Yoder, our beloved and treasured friend is hanging up her hat as our Promoter and the Host of our Madison and Brookfield Events - allowing an opening in her life for her next adventure to unfold. Jeanette has been a tremendous gift to us and we offer her our truest wishes for staggering success in her future endeavors. We have traveled a long and delicious road with Jeanette in our work with Mary and hold immense gratitude for all of the experiences we have had together and all she has brought to us personally and professionally. We look forward to all of the wonder we will create and experience together in our continued friendship. Thank you Jeanette, from the deepest spaces of our hearts and souls for all you are to us in every aspect of our lives.
Another change is a decision by Don and myself to move our time slot for our monthly Brookfield sessions at YogAsylum. We have put a few feelers out and have had a resounding positive response to holding the gatherings from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.. These sessions will be followed by dinner together instead of lunch for those who are interested in carrying on the expansive conversations with one another beyond the event. This change will allow us to have the facility to ourselves for the most part which means we can be as noisy as we want to be (laughter, didging, possibly drumming and singing bowls too). It will also provide us with a completely quiet facility with no other instructors/speakers voices floating through the partitions in the event Mary chooses to guide us in meditation or hold a moment of silence to allow newly acquired wisdoms to sink in. So on the third Saturday of every month, get up, get your errands and "have to's" out of the way and join us for our new series on Attaining Self Mastery. Our first afternoon session is scheduled for Saturday, January 19th from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.. We hope to experience you there to assist us with rolling in the New Year!
And, yes, the rumor is true...we are expanding the number and variety of places we are going with Mary in 2008. We are opening up our schedule to include locations such as Hollywood, CA, Crystal Lake, IL, Chicago, IL, Naples, FL, Minneapolis, MN, along with some new locations in Wisconsin and of course continue to play in Madison, WI at the Mimosa Bookstore a couple times a year.

Meet Mary Seaberg

Mary is a new and growing friend whom we are very excited to expand our hearts with as we move into our expanding relationship with her. To be in a room or a conversation with Mary, is to experience being wrapped in a warm and gentle love that truly seeks to know you and to offer itself to you in whatever way it will be most beneficial. She is authentic, generous, loving and inspired among many other wonderful things. She would tell you that her friends define her as a seeker.
Inspired by seeing Marianne Williamson on Oprah, stirring her desire for a more disciplined spiritual path, she began to explore her nitch in life through attending many workshops and studying a variety of things leading her to confirm that she has a deep desire to make a significant contribution to helping others become fulfilled and in balance with themselves - at peace within. In her exploration to fulfill this nitch, she met James Twyman who was, at the time, involved in a project called Cloth of Many Colors. She eventually traveled with him to the UN in New York and presented the project at the International Children's Day for Peace. She defines the experience as being full of hope, laughter and joy. It inspired her to do something more when she returned home although she didn't know what that would be at the time. Later, when walking in a park in her local area she came upon a part of the park that was being newly constructed. It was a park within the park called Peace Park. She knew in that moment that is was part of her path. She contacted the Park Director and invited him to get involved in a project called "Peace Poles" around the world which she learned about while presenting at the UN. As a result of this invitation, a peace pole is now a part of the park.
Mary's grand vision now, is to begin a nonprofit organization designed to help people in three different categories - the body, the mind and the spirit. She has a passionate desire to create an intentional community (similar in nature and philosophy to Findhorn - which she plans to go to, to observe and learn from) of like minded souls, dedicated to the highest good for all, that would work together offering services for the betterment of clients, each other and the world. The community will be an eco-village run by solar, wind, and thermal power. There will be organic food and the people of the community will work together on sharing tasks and chores and contributing to the community. There will be gardens and meditation areas for people to enjoy and practice peace. The main center in this community will offer programs for children and adults. For the mind they will offer self esteem classes, empowerment, manifestation and all sorts of creative workshops to expand the mind. She believes this will be extremely helpful to children to open up their creative channels and help them to expand their energy fields. For the spirit they will offer spiritual counseling, life directions and other workshops to open people up to their gifts. For the body, they will work on nutrition, flexibility through yoga and many other modalities. They will look for the gift in each client and assist them in soaring. The possibilities are endless! To allow for the services and benefits of this community to be available to as many people as possible, members will offer a portion of their profits from providing their services to a fund to assist those who can't afford to pay. It
is time to undo your knots . You know, the thoughts, the
beliefs, the resentments, the defenses, the spaces you hide inside of
yourself (hoping nobody will see or know about) that you cling to even
though they leave you stagnate instead of flowing. Pay attention to
these things as they arise, greet them with full out love and then tell
yourself the truth about what choosing to stay in companionship with them is doing to you. You see, your role is just to tell yourself the truth, the truth will do the work to undo the knot.
Oh, and no placating yourself with excuses. Nice try though.

Exploring with Mary

Greetings Greetings!,
What light shines forth from you today? What is the flood of Greetings!, that fills your world? Imagine yourself as this image here. What fills the streams that move forth from you? You always emanate what you truly embody. That's what shines forth.
As you embark into this brand new time in your world, this New Year of your earth, and of your life, consider deliberately choosing and defining, with each waking moment, who you are and therefore what you emanate and therefore what you create in YOUR life. Who and what do you wish to be in this world of yours? Where do you wish to cast the shine of that which is you? Are you willing to truly step inward and outward in euphoric oneness with self in union with all that you have access to? Are you willing to open your particles and invite all that matches them to join you in expansive splendor? You see, this is why it is good to deliberately choose and define who you are and to emanate this practiced self so that when you open your particles to attract and receive their matches - you get what you want - wallah - manifestation. You have to be it to attract it. Tricky, isn't it? We hear you ask, "How can I be it when I am not there yet - when it is in the stage of what I am wanting and not what I am having?" So let us give you some understanding through an example...
You encounter somebody who emanates Joy. Internally, you say, "I want to feel like that." Now, what we know is that you wouldn't have been able to have the thought of "I want to feel like that" regarding the joy if you didn't recognize the joy and know what it feels like in the first place. So already, you know it is not the others joy that let you know how it feels, it is your own. So now, we have established that you already have the joy you are seeking and believing is not yours yet. The tricky thing is the believing. You believe you are seeing their joy and that is what is attracting you - when actually what is occurring is that you are feeling your own joy (no matter how faint) in response to your recognition of their joy and instead of calling forth more you move into the belief that you are witnessing it instead of experiencing it and move into the belief that it is separate from you before you give yourself a chance to let your own joy rise up more fully and take up more residence within you. The result is when you open your particles and emanate from the wanting and not having, that you embody as a result of believing it is outside of you instead of recognizing that it is inside of you, you draw more wanting instead of more joy.
Whew...
So then, remember, you wouldn't be attracted to it unless you were already embodying it to some degree within. It is about recognizing, believing in, and pumping up the volume of that which you already are that is in alignment with your desire that will emanate forth from you and attract your matches.

As we reach out into the New Year, we find ourselves ecstatically ready to release all of the parameters in our work with Mary. With our first book in the works and expanding venues in line, we open ourselves to our most resounding "YES" within to take our work with Mary to the next level. It is our grand desire to open to and attract vast expansion in the numbers of people who we are able to touch with the beautiful gift of Mary's wisdom and guidance.
